| | Stirling DK's latest installation, a wood chips fuelled Stirling engine plant, has now been put into operation. The plant is planned to supply base load heat for the village of Langballig, via a local district heating network, while the power will be sold to the grid. The plant consists of an updraft gasifier which supplies wood gas for two 35 kWe Stirling engines operating in parallel. At full production, the plant supplies 70 kWe power and approx. 280 kWth heat.
